One of my favorite places to shoot pictures--especially wedding and engagement photos--is Dogwood Canyon in Lampe, Missouri.
Nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains in Southwest Missouri between Branson and the Arkansas border, Dogwood Canyon offers some of the most scenic locations and backdrops for wedding and engagement photography that I've ever seen.
Amy and Joshua's wedding ceremony took place in the Hope Wedding Chapel at Dogwood Canyon. We spent about an hour together before their ceremony exploring the beautiful waterfalls, paths, and parkways on a guided tour, stopping at many locations along the way to capture their wedding photos.
If you're planning a wedding at Dogwood Canyon, I'd strongly suggest scheduling the guided tour with your wedding photographer, too!
Here are some sample pictures from this couple's special day...
These are of course just a small sample of the wedding pictures we captured for Amy and Joshua on their special day. If you'd like to see more pictures from their wedding, along with many more from locations in and around Springfield and Branson, Missouri, please visit our Springfield Missouri Wedding Photography site or Facebook page anytime.
You'll also find information about our affordable Springfield MO wedding photography packages and prices starting at only $595, as well as engagement pictures, answers to frequently asked questions about wedding photography, and more.
As always, thanks very much for reading and please join us in congratulating Amy and Joshua!

Engagement Pictures - Lake Springfield
I have a new addition to my growing list of great locations for engagement pictures in Springfield, MO:
Lake Springfield Park!
In contrast to the paved walkways and beautifully maintained gardens at Nathanael Greene Close Memorial Park, the hills and cliffs around Lake Springfield shimmer with natural, seemingly untouched beauty... but do require a bit of mild hiking to get to the most scenic locations.
I spent about an hour walking (and hiking) in the park with David and Angel, stopping at many spots along the way to capture some special moments for their engagement pictures. Here's a sample of some of my favorites:

These are of course just a small sample of the fully edited and retouched engagement pictures we shot and delivered to David and Angel. Please visit our website to see more pictures from their engagement session, as well as many others from locations throughout the Springfield, MO area.
You'll also find information about our engagement and wedding photography packages and prices, including an offer to save $100 on an engagement picture session!
I'll be shooting David and Angel's wedding pictures in April, and already know it's going to be a very special day for this terrific couple. Please join me in wishing them congratulations, and stay tuned for their wedding pictures!

Engagement Pictures-Nathanael Greene Close Memorial Park
Among the most beautiful locations in Springfield, MO for engagement photography, Nathanael Greene Close Memorial Park offers a little something for everyone.
I met Sarah and Dan at the park on a Sunday afternoon in late January, and spent about 90 minutes walking the grounds with them, shooting their engagement pictures in a variety of settings along the way.
I've always believed that putting my clients at ease in front of the camera, and making sure they have fun on their engagement shoot, is just important as taking good pictures. People always look better when they're relaxed and having fun, plus it gives me an opportunity to capture natural emotions, genuine smiles, etc. during those special moments.
As a naturally laid-back, fun loving couple, Sarah and Dan made the first part of my job very easy! Here are some sample images from their outdoor engagement shoot at the park in Springfield, MO...

These are of course just a small sample of the final images we delivered to Sarah and Dan from their engagement session. You can see more engagement pictures from Nathanael Greene Close Memorial Park, and many other locations in the Ozarks on our Springfield Missouri Wedding Photographers website anytime.
I'll be shooting Sarah and Dan's wedding pictures later this Spring at Dogwood Canyon, and already can't wait! Until then, please join me in congratulating this wonderful couple, and as always thank you for reading!

Engagement Portrait Locations
Next to choosing a wedding date and venue, one of the first things couples start thinking about after they become engaged is where to have their engagement pictures taken.
Richard and Kelsey thought about that, too... and decided to have their pictures shot in three separate locations in and around Springfield, MO!
Although their engagement session took place in early January, we got lucky with the weather. The skies were blue, the sun was shining, and the air was just chilly enough to give Richard and Kelsey an extra reason to cuddle. Not that they needed it:)
We started shooting their engagement pictures at Nathanael Greene - Close Memorial Park in Springfield. Later, we went to the spot where they became engaged--and met their dog, who was waiting patiently for them to arrive!
Finally, we finished the shoot in downtown Springfield, to give their engagement picture locations a little extra variety.
Here are some sample pictures from this wonderful couple's engagement photography session on Sunday, January 6, 2013...

Priced at $250--or $150 if you book with a wedding photography package--our 90-minute engagement photography sessions include an hour and a half of unlimited photography at your choice of location(s) in and around Springfield, MO, as well as complimentary retouching, color correction, and a password-protected online viewing gallery.
