Springfield MO Wedding Photography: Married at the fair!

Well here's something different!  If you went to the 75th Annual Ozarks Empire Fair this year in Springfield MO, you probably saw the little wedding chapel.  Ashley and Chuck not only saw it... but decided that it would be the perfect location for their wedding ceremony!

Here are a few pictures from this couple's spontaneous, fun, and very romantic wedding...

One of the vendors at the fair made them a special gift: Deep fried wedding cake, with strawberry frosting!  Let the fun begin:)

Whether you're planning a spontaneous ceremony like Ashley and Chuck... or a more formal affair... I'd be honored to serve as your wedding photographer, too!  If you'd like more information on packages or prices, please visit our Springfield MO wedding photography website anytime.

Thanks very much for reading, and please join me in congratulating Ashley and Chuck!

Springfield MO Wedding Photography: 50th Anniversary

While I do specialize in Springfield and Branson Missouri wedding photography, I love it when opportunities come along to do something a little different.

Such was the case last month, when I was quite honored to serve as the photographer for Bill and Joyce's 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration at the Second Baptist Church here in Springfield.

Here are a few photos from this very special couple's celebration...

Bill and Joyce's celebration was attended by about 100 of their closest friends and family members... which is a real testament to the impact they've made on so many people throughout their 50 years of marriage.  I was a true honor to serve as their photographer.  Please join me in congratulating Bill, Joyce, and their entire family!

You can see more pictures from Bill and Joyce's celebration, along with photographs from weddings throughout the Springfield MO, Branson MO, and entire Ozarks region on our Springfield, MO Wedding Photography website.  Whether you're planning a similar celebration, or a wedding in the area, I'd be honored to serve as your photographer, too!

As always, thank you very much for reading--

Springfield Missouri Wedding Photography: An Outdoor Country Wedding

Last month I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful outdoor wedding in the country, about 30 miles north of Springfield, MO.  It was a perfect summer day with blue skies and lots of sunshine for Kelsey and Adam.

I started shooting as Kelsey was making her final preparations...

Adam is a US Marine and dressed in full uniform for the wedding ceremony, which took place on the edge of a quiet country field.

After the ceremony, we took some time to get some pictures of Kelsey and Adam together.  "You guys just got married", I told them.  "Enjoy the moment and pretend I'm not here".

It was a true honor to serve as this couple's wedding photographer for their special day.  Please join me in congratulating Kelsey and Adam!

If you're planning a similar outdoor wedding in the beautiful Ozarks countryside, or anywhere else near Springfield or Branson, MO, I'd be honored to serve as your photographer, too. Please visit our Springfield MO Wedding Photography website for information on prices, packages, and more.

As usual... thanks for reading!!

Branson Missouri Wedding Photography: Dogwood Canyon

When I first arrived to photograph Lori and Tom's wedding at Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, I knew it was going to be a beautiful location.  After all, the sign does say, "Welcome To Paradise".

But I didn't know just how beautiful it would be.  Nestled in the Ozark Mountains between Branson and the Arkansas border, Dogwood Canyon is truly a hidden gem.

I arrived about an hour early and snapped some shots around the park, all the while thinking what a perfect spot it was for a wedding.

The wedding chappel is located about 10 minutes from the entrance to the park.  There's a beautiful, tree-lined stream behind it, and a nearby cabin to use for final preparations.

About 15 minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to start, one of Lori's bridesmaids came out, tapped me on the shoulder, and said, "OK we're ready".  Here are a few of my favorite pictures from her wedding...

After the ceremony, we went outside to take some pictures of the just-married couple and their bridal party...

These are just a small sample of the memories I captured for Lori and Tom on their wedding day.  Please join me in congratulating this very special couple!

From Dogwood Canyon and Table Rock Lake in Branson, to the many churches and parks in Springfield, the Ozarks region of Southwest Missouri offers some of the most scenic backdrops for weddings (and wedding photography) in America.
