Among the most beautiful locations in Springfield, MO for engagement photography, Nathanael Greene Close Memorial Park offers a little something for everyone.
I met Sarah and Dan at the park on a Sunday afternoon in late January, and spent about 90 minutes walking the grounds with them, shooting their engagement pictures in a variety of settings along the way.
I've always believed that putting my clients at ease in front of the camera, and making sure they have fun on their engagement shoot, is just important as taking good pictures. People always look better when they're relaxed and having fun, plus it gives me an opportunity to capture natural emotions, genuine smiles, etc. during those special moments.
As a naturally laid-back, fun loving couple, Sarah and Dan made the first part of my job very easy! Here are some sample images from their outdoor engagement shoot at the park in Springfield, MO...

These are of course just a small sample of the final images we delivered to Sarah and Dan from their engagement session. You can see more engagement pictures from Nathanael Greene Close Memorial Park, and many other locations in the Ozarks on our Springfield Missouri Wedding Photographers website anytime.
I'll be shooting Sarah and Dan's wedding pictures later this Spring at Dogwood Canyon, and already can't wait! Until then, please join me in congratulating this wonderful couple, and as always thank you for reading!

Engagement Portrait Locations
Next to choosing a wedding date and venue, one of the first things couples start thinking about after they become engaged is where to have their engagement pictures taken.
Richard and Kelsey thought about that, too... and decided to have their pictures shot in three separate locations in and around Springfield, MO!
Although their engagement session took place in early January, we got lucky with the weather. The skies were blue, the sun was shining, and the air was just chilly enough to give Richard and Kelsey an extra reason to cuddle. Not that they needed it:)
We started shooting their engagement pictures at Nathanael Greene - Close Memorial Park in Springfield. Later, we went to the spot where they became engaged--and met their dog, who was waiting patiently for them to arrive!
Finally, we finished the shoot in downtown Springfield, to give their engagement picture locations a little extra variety.
Here are some sample pictures from this wonderful couple's engagement photography session on Sunday, January 6, 2013...

These are of course just a small sample of the finished engagement pictures we delivered to Richard and Kelsey. But hopefully it gives you an idea of the variety of poses, locations, and moments that we're able to capture in a 90-minute engagement portrait session.
If you've recently said "I Do" and are ready to schedule your engagement portrait session, I'd love to shoot your pictures, too!
Priced at $250--or $150 if you book with a wedding photography package--our 90-minute engagement photography sessions include an hour and a half of unlimited photography at your choice of location(s) in and around Springfield, MO, as well as complimentary retouching, color correction, and a password-protected online viewing gallery.
We deliver all of the final high-resolution images on a CD with a copyright release so the pictures are yours forever.

Award Winning Wedding Photography
This week I learned that Cool Change Photography won a 2013 Bride's Choice Award from the Wedding Wire Network!
For those who aren't familiar, The WeddingWire Bride's Choice Awards™ recognizes the top five percent of professionals in markets across America that demonstrate excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism.
Unlike other industry awards, they are based on real online reviews and extensive surveys from over 750,000 WeddingWire newlyweds.
The bottom line: I have a lot of very happy clients. And that makes me both very happy, and very proud... particularly because there were only two other wedding photographers in the Springfield/Branson market that also made the cut.
If you are planning your own wedding in 2013 or beyond in the Springfield or Branson, Missouri area I would be honored to photograph your wedding and add you to our growing list of very happy clients, too!
Please feel free to check out my portfolio of wedding pictures and engagement pictures, as well as our affordable prices and packages anytime.
Thanks very much for reading... and a special thanks to each and every one of my past clients for taking the time and effort to write some very complimentary online reviews. I truly appreciate it:)

Eric and Jenny: A Vintage Country Wedding
Eric and Jenny chose a beautiful, wooded setting at a private home in Nixa, MO for their outdoor, vintage country wedding.
The chilly December weather, combined with the very classic and romantic love that this couple shares, complemented the vintage theme of their wedding perfectly.
We delivered over 300 final images to the couple, both with and without the "vintage" creative treatment you'll see in the pictures below.
It's a creative treatment that--in my opinion--is often overused by wedding photographers these days.
But sometimes, as in the case of Eric and Jenny's wedding, it really feels right. I started shooting the couple's wedding photos as Jenny and her bridesmaids were making their final preparations...
These are of course just a small sample of the final images I captured for Eric and Jenny on their special day.
You can see more pictures from their wedding, along with many others throughout Springfield, Branson, and the Ozarks, on our Springfield Missouri Wedding Photography website or facebook page anytime.
Planning your own wedding in 2013 or beyond? Whether you choose a similar vintage theme or not, I'd be honored to serve as your wedding photographer, too! Please feel free to check out our affordable wedding photography and engagement portrait packages and prices anytime.
As always, thank you for reading and please join me in congratulating Eric and Jenny!
